Brown Chapel HOGSIC Covenant

The Covenant of Brown Chapel and the House Of God Saints In Christ, Inc.

We having been chosen by the blessed Spirit of God to become members of His Holy Church, with joy and gladness we enter into this covenant:

1. We will watch over one another with brotherly love and kindness, not that we may have whereof to accuse our brother, but that we may with meekness correct each other's faults (Romans 12:10) (Galatians 61-2).

2. We will abstain from frivolous conversations, such as foolish talking, gossiping, jesting, and from backbiting and tattling or taking up a reproach against one another (Ephesians 5:4).

3. We will heed each other to exhort one another to walk worthy of the vocation wherewith we are called, and with all lowliness and meekness with long-suffering; forbearing one another in love; endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:1-3).

4. We will exhort our brother to warn them that are unruly or disorderly to comfort the feeble minded, support the weak, and be patient toward all men; so that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves and to all men (Romans 12:17) (Galatians 610).

5. We will be kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven us (Ephesians 4:32).

6. We will engage the works of mercy; such as visiting the sick, visiting the imprisoned, visiting the distressed and all who may need and will accept our acts of mercy (Matthew 25:35-40).

7. We will have no fellowship with the unfruitful works ofthe devil (Ephesians 5:11), but to keep ourselves by the grace of God (I Peter 1:5) unspotted from the world (james 1:27).

8. We will keep this Covenant with the help of God. We accept the obligations of this Covenant in the name of the Father, and of the Son and ofthe Holy Ghost.
